Ditmar Award Finalist in criticism and review category

Posted on 16 Apr at 9:36 am

My article ‘The Horror of Australia’s Literary Censorship’ published in the AHWA’s Midnight Echo #20 is a finalist in the 2026 Ditmar Awards for works published in 2025 in the category The William Atheling Jr Award for criticism or review.

The full list of finalists is available here, and once again, I’m truly honoured to appear in a list with so many award-winning and accomplished authors.
This article is now a finalist in two separate award categories, which is incredibly exciting.

Thank you to Marty Young, editor of Midnight Echo #20 for selecting my work for inclusion in the magazine. Thank you to the speculative fan and convention community for nominating this work, and to the Ditmar subcommittee for all the work they do on these awards. Congratulations also to the finalists.
